Summer bliss...

..that's how I thaught this morning to name my new smoothie recipe. I went shopping yesterday evening for some cat food for my three "beasts", and just could't help it and bought some red melon and some cherries...
and made this today in the morning:

I also bought this pendant

 

 from the Dianusa site, I hope it will have some effect in protecting me from the negative energy flowing in my office at times. Also, it is said that it protects against diseases, and I do believe that if you strongly believe in something, it will help! it also looks very preety, I must say!

and Google books has some reviews on it, I will soon have mine too; and not for others to read, but I trully like writing down my impressions about the books I'm reading; that way, even after many years, I can read my opinion and remember in an instant what the book was about. It is also interesting to read a book with a child's eyes, and then with a mature (sic!) woman's eyes....quite different experiences!

It's a heatwave....

After so many weeks of grey weather, the sun is welcome, but with a grit...since it's way to hot to even step outside....or at least for me...used to the comfort of my office...
keeping it real with salads and a nice smoothie in the morning....with a few slip-ups...who can help it if  Tunde made lasagna??? ....of dear! I couldn't resist....
And my morning breakfast:

...sour cherries (the last ones!) and a banana....
Need an apple right now! Who was it that said that "if you're not hungry for an apple, then you're not hungry at all" ???

Tuesday...

...woke up, made banana+sour cherries + cylantro+ salad smoothie for me....and banana+sour cherries + peach smoothie for my bf.....came to work and received these:

...village-grown cherries! they are very very very tasty! My colleague Marcel brought them to me, and he was to nice as to give me about 2 kilos! I only ate half...yet!

All in all....I was so pleasantly surprised by the picture today on bing!

He's an anteater and he's sooo cute!!! or is it a She??

Another week...

When I am positive about all around me it is easier to face a new week at work...so I started mine by watering the plants in my and my boss' office.
Then all hell broke loose, I had so much work that I will probably leave my office at night, but I am still preety fine...
Wanted to share my breakfast, have I mentioned the fact that I've started to "corrupt" my boyfriend also in this morning smoothie business?

His is the one on the left; banana, pear and a few sour cherries, mine has a banana, a few more sour cherries, no pear, but some salad leaves and some cylantro....my bf is not very receptive about the green stuff in smoties ...yet!
Besides helping my bf with his work for the exams, I've been reading bits of this:

which is fascinating! I knew it! I knew fairies and elves existed! More to come on this book, with a full detailed review, of course! I still have one more book to analyze, very soon that also!

Have I mentioned the fact that my kindle is woth its weight in gold until now???

I  am really not a big tech fan, but this item is awesome! love it!
And returning to our wonderful green world, here are some snapshots of my bf's mother's flowers; it was late, no really good lighting, but I just couldn't help it...

I had salad for breakfast....

...and it looked like this:

 This is actually my first green smoothie... although it is not that green actually...It's the first time I'm using salad in it....and banana, and pineapple...and aloe vera juice!

...and my cat Jackie was very curios about what I was doing there...
as was my other cat, Eisidisi, about the salad I bought yesterday...

 I was surprised to find 3 kinds of salad in one bag...and they all looked yummy...

 I have to say I like my salad to be alive...that is why I'm buying it from Kaufland, where it comes in plastic bags like this...and it still has all the earth it grew in.

 I'm always choosing the freshest ones...and I put the roots with earth in water when I get home, and after they have their "drink", I put them back in these plastic bags...and up into the fridge...and they trully last longer!

I am really not shure if this salad is healthy, all I know is that it comes from my country...and as of late I am looking to buy only Romanian food, as even the products not labelled as "bio" are more bio in my country due to the agricultural system than in any other more developped countries.

I'm afraid that the naturall-ness of our products will be the cost for our development....and here is the view from my balcony; I can't help but think that in a few year's time other apartment buildings like our will be built there...

and they will ruin this splendid landscape...

...which is my oasis at the gates of our city...

Who lives in the city but has this kind of a back yard, I ask you? I trully feel lucky just sitting on my chair on my balcony, listening to the song of my nightingales neighbours....

I'm wearing my green amulet today...

..notice the "bush" in the background...yep...that's my Japanese rose...my other oasis at work...

lovely June...

What can I say, other than the fact that I love all fruit, no exception, but I think that june fruit have their special charm...and with our terrible weather these last days...only these can still remind us that Summer is actually here....

This was my breakfast a few days back, thanks to my boss!

 Having colleagues you get really good along with is priceless, I must say! Does wonders for your moral status...

As for my lunch today...

 I have a confession to make...I looove balsamic vinegar...i.e. aceto balsamico...the Italian one...

I just have to share this photo taken at our local Zoo on Sunday...it simply brings joy to the eye... thriving nature...lovely!

On the green side of things...

I'm doing my best to live my life...greener...that is I'm trying to absorb all the plants around me...and I had the perfect occasion this weekend...but about that later....here's where all my thoughts are at the moment...

Trying to be positive, not get mad and think good thoughts is working in some degree... on the other hand, I know that if I only eat raw food my psychic feels much better...much to discuss on that part also....here's my today's lunch...

....seasoned with a good portion of food for the soul...
